Community Outreach

Girl Scouting for All Girls

We support more than 2,000 Nebraska Girl Scouts, who may not otherwise have the means to participate in the Girl Scout Leadership Experience. These girls, mostly from underserved parts of our cities and towns, are supported by our unique Community Outreach program. Through this program, we are able to bring Girl Scout experiences and leadership activities to girls at 67 sites—community and education centers, schools, boys and girls clubs, group homes, detention centers and YWCAs—throughout Nebraska.

Without the support of grant funding, public and private donations and the volunteers who deliver the Girl Scout Leadership Experience at our Community Outreach sites, we would not have the resources necessary to bring this enriching program to girls whose neighborhoods are defined by socio economic indicators as underserved. Most of these girls live in highly urban and lower income areas of our cities, towns and our state and lack the necessary financial means and volunteer engagement to support the structure of a Girl Scout troop, their meetings, field trips and activities…including the Cookie Program.

Our goal is to bring Girl Scouting to these girls and all girls, regardless of their ethnicity, background, location or economic status. Please consider supporting our Community Outreach programs by making a donation or volunteering today.
