Summer 2013

Summer is fast approaching and for many of you it may already have begun. As I said goodbye to girls in my school-year troops and started preparation for those with whom I will spend the next few months, I got to thinking: “I wonder what Girl Scouts most like to do during the summer?”

There are a LOT of opportunities to be creative with your time during the summer. I want to know what you are planning AND if you don’t have anything planned, let me know that, too! Girl Scouts Spirit of Nebraska summer programs are exploding with amazing experiences and adventures.

Here are a few highlights of the type of programs we have planned: Counselor in Training (CIT) Camp, YWE Achieve, Horse Camps, Drum Mania, Survivor: Girl Scout Island!, YWE Camp and My Summer Place.

Also, did you know that we have a council trip to INDIA coming up next year?! Let’s get you off the couch this summer and into an experience of a lifetime!!

If you would like more information on these or anything else that we have planned, visit our website girlscoutsnebraska.org or send me an email.

So, here’s your “to do” list:
1. Tell me the awesome things you have going on this summer.
2. If you don’t have anything planned, start with Girl Scouts! We have many things girls
can do!
3. This is a bonus “to do”: send me pictures so that I can show everyone all the cool stuff girls are doing this summer.

Yours in Girl Scouting,
Erin
