What’s in a Name?

This time of year is a special time for most people. Regardless of who you are, where you come from, or what your beliefs may be – next week is a slow, sleepy week. Most business are closed for at least a day, something that doesn’t really happen any other time of year – a perfect time to be shared with family and friends.

This is my holiday last year with my family! We’re Brewers fans J  That is me on the far, far left.

There has been controversy over what to call this time of year. But I say, it’s easy sometimes to get caught up in a name.

As Shakespeare once so eloquently put it MANY years ago:

What you call something doesn’t change its composition. It’s the feelings inside, the sights, sounds, smells, and tastes that make memories. Holidays or breaks from work are not something that we come across very often in the year – so when there is time off – celebrate that time! Love every minute that you are given with those that you love.

For me, personally – this time of year makes me automatically sing, “Christmas Time is Here”, from the Charlie Brown Christmas movie.

This is something from the memories of my life that brings me happiness during this time of year.

I shared this memory of mine with you and I hope that you will share your memories with me! You can send them to me by email.

Season’s greetings from our Girl Scout house to yours!

Erin
