Learn to Ice Skate Program

The Figure Skating Club of Omaha offers group ice skating classes for beginner through advanced skaters. The program is an hour in length with 30 minutes of instructed class and 30 minutes of supervised practice time. Our goal is to teach correct techniques starting with the basics, in a fun and safe environment. All of our instructors are highly qualified members of the Professional Skaters Association.

Who: Daisies, Brownies, Juniors, Cadettes, Seniors, Ambassadors

When: Classes offered year-round on Mondays 6:30-7:30 p.m. or Saturdays 10:15-11:15 a.m.

Cost: $5 per skater, $2 for skate rental (if needed)

Capacity: Minimum 3, Maximum 12.

Where: Motto McLean Ice Arena in Hitchcock Park, 45th & P Street, Omaha

Chaperones: Follow Safety Activity Checkpoints.

Refunds: 24 hour cancellation policy.

Recognitions: Girls will be working on the following recognitions: Daisy Petal-Red-Courageous and Strong; Legacy Athlete Badges: Fair Play (Brownie), Practice With Purpose (Junior), Good Sportsmanship (Cadette), Cross-Training (Senior) and Coaching (Ambassador)

Notes: Please wear comfortable clothing (athletic wear) and gloves or mittens. We strongly recommend skaters 8 years old and younger wear a helmet.
