Enrichment Events

Enhancing Your Skills and Knowledge.

Join us for events and activities created for volunteers, members and parents to enrich their Girl Scout experience with personal and professional development and networking opportunities. Enrichment events are held across the state and will engage our members in the history and traditions of Girl Scouting, often with a contemporary twist.
Any adult Girl Scout member can participate in the following events. Please pre-register so we can plan accordingly.

Stewards of Children is a prevention training program that teaches adults how to prevent, recognize, and react responsibly to child sexual abuse. The program is designed for organizations that serve youth and for individuals concerned about the safety of children. It is the only nationally distributed, evidence-based program proven to increase knowledge, improve attitudes, and change child protective behaviors. Research findings from independent evaluators are available online.

The training outcomes of the program include:
  • increased awareness of the prevalence, consequences, and circumstances of child sexual abuse,
  • new skills for adults to prevent, recognize and react responsibly to child sexual abuse,
  • positive change to organizational policies and procedures and
  • individual commitment to action through a personal prevention plan.
