Council Delegates
What are Delegates?
The job of a Delegate is important in influencing the decisions of the Council. Delegates are voting members of Spirit of Nebraska and are selected by their Service Unit to represent them to the board of directors. The Council Delegate is accountable to all registered members within the Service Unit they reside.
Delegates will…
Serve for a two-year term.
Elect the officers, the board of directors, board development committee and delegates to the national council meeting when needed.
Participate in discussion and debate on issues of concern that will have an impact on the future of Girl Scouting.
2023-2025 Delegate Selections
Selections must be submitted by the close of business on Friday, February 3, 2023.
Delegate Requirements:
- Selected Delegates must be current members of Girl Scouts Spirit of Nebraska.
- Girls selected as Delegates must be at least 14 years of age or older by September 30, 2022.
- Selected Delegates must be available to attend the Spirit of
Nebraska Annual Meeting virtually or in-person, Monday, April 10,
2023, 6:30–8 p.m., UNO's Mammel Hall, Room 162.
- Selected Delegates agree to serve a two-year term.
