During this unprecedented time, Girl Scouts wants you to know that we are here and will continue to be here for you. For over 100 years, we have been a constant in the lives of girls, and now we are pleased to rollout virtual opportunities for our members in these trying times.
Starting next week, Girl Scouts Spirit of Nebraska will offer girls and adults online programming opportunities live on Facebook! These opportunities are being developed to give girls something familiar and fun to do and to keep them connected to Girl Scouts. Please feel free to share these virtual programs with others (non-members, too!). Watch our website and blog for the full program lineup. SPOILER ALERT: Programs will include live horse classes with Dusty Trails, Girl Scout singalongs with Bea Webster, and MUCH more.
Join us at 3 p.m. Friday, March 20, on Facebook for a live announcement that will include a new Flat Juliette social media campaign. We will encourage every girl to create a Flat Juliette from this template. Your Girl Scout can use Flat Juliette to show off the fun activities she is doing at home, including challenges from our live programs. We’ve got a lot planned for Flat Juliette! Use the hashtags #GirlScoutsAtHome and #GSSN to connect with Girl Scouts in Nebraska and beyond!
More opportunities will become available, so check back often!
Meanwhile, we are working within the parameters of the recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control, and ask that you do, too. Our offices are closed to the public, but we are still here to serve you through all the same communication modes. If you have questions or suggestions, please reach out to your Troop Support Specialist or Member Support. For the most recent information and updates, including cancellations and postponements, please check our COVID-19 blog post.
While these are challenging times, there are positive things that
can come from it. In the end, Girl Scouts will emerge better and
stronger and remain the preeminent leadership organization for
