Leaving a planned gift isn’t just for the elderly or extremely
wealthy – anyone can leave a legacy. Through a planned
gift, you can support girls today with cash or stock, or design a
plan as part of your estate that benefits our girl and adult members
after your lifetime.
Here are a few Planned Giving options for your consideration:
Bequest by Will
You can make a bequest at any age by
adding a codicil to an existing will or drafting a new one. This
allows you to leave a legacy while maintaining the assets you need for
your current lifestyle. In addition, you may generate a tax savings.
Retirement Plan Assets
Name Spirit of Nebraska as the
full or partial beneficiary of your retirement plan. The benefit
amount you specify will be distributed to Spirit of Nebraska, tax free.
Life insurance provides a simple way to give a significant gift
to Spirit of Nebraska with possible income tax benefits that you may
enjoy during your lifetime. Name Spirit of Nebraska as a full or
partial beneficiary when you create this plan.
By definition, an endowment is a gift deposited into a fund
where the original amount – called the principal – remains forever.
Income earned from the fund’s investments provides the means to
support Spirit of Nebraska in perpetuity.
