Girl Scouts Love State Parks 2023 - Enders Reservoir State Recreation Area

Girl Scouts Love State Parks is an annual nationwide celebration of the natural wonders found across our country! Girl Scouts gather with their troops, friends, and family to celebrate our shared love of the outdoors. Join us at one of our Nebraska State Parks for activities like fishing, kayaking, animal encounters, and more and earn the 2023 Girl Scouts Love State Parks patch*!
Specific activities and times vary by location. Purchase of daily park permit may be necessary depending on location. Adults must register with girls, using the required volunteer-to-girl ratios.
*Patch is not included, but is available for purchase through Juliettes Boutique.

Join us for an adventure-packed tour of the eastern Girl Scouts Spirit of Nebraska camps!
We will begin our road trip from the Omaha Service Center and from there we’ll experience the best that Camp Crossed Arrows, Camp Maha, and Camp Catron have to offer during a whirlwind weekend campout. Reach new heights with the Eugene's Adventure Course at Camp Catron, take a thrilling ride on the Soaring Hawk Zipline Tour at Camp Crossed Arrows, and explore the high challenge course at Camp Maha. Stay overnight at two different camp properties and enjoy archery, swimming, hiking, cooking outdoors, and making SWAPS, too. You’ll even earn a special patch and bandana to represent each camp location!

Dusty Trails will furnish guidance, livestock tanks, oars, and life jackets for this fun adventure down the North Platte River. Notes: Teams must register together with each tank requiring a minimum of two adults and a maximum of eight total participants. This is a physical event, all participants will be paddling in a tank on the river. Youth participants must be entering 4th grade or above.

You can participate two ways – make your own rocks (individually or as a troop) and add them to the map for others to find and go on a hunt to find those left by others so you can digitally log them. You’ll see who has found your rock, add your name to the ones you have found, receive a special patch and Painted Rocks swag, and connect with sister Girl Scouts across the state!
Those registered will receive instructions on how to set up the app and where to place rocks. A smart phone or app-enabled smart device is needed to participate. Adult supervision is required.

Meet some of our live "animal ambassadors" and learn about their adaptations. You can even participate in a scavenger hunt around the Forest trails and nature center.

Tree Promise Kits 2023

In partnership with the Elliott Wildlife Values Project, American Forests, and Johnson & Johnson Foundation, Girl Scouts are launching a bold tree planting and conservation initiative. Girl Scouts across the country are setting out to plant five million trees in five years, and to protect and honor new and existing trees. Not only is this great for wildlife, it will also help ease the effects of climate change.
Girl Scouts have planted thousands of trees in all 50 states and globally. Let’s keep going! These Tree Promise kits make it easy for troops and invididual Girl Scouts to participate.
Kits include a string bag with a sapling, and information packet including activities, a decal, and the Girl Scout Tree Promise Patch.
