In 1963, the Council purchased 157 acres of land and held a contest at the 1964 Annual Meeting to name the new property. The winning entry, “Crossed Arrows,” is an indigenous symbol for peace and friendship.
Camp guests may enjoy a spacious troop house, three climate-controlled yurts, a low elements challenge course, archery, groomed hiking trails, and incredible views. Take in the great outdoors from the ground or while zipping through the trees on the thrilling five-station Soaring Hawk Zip Line Tour!
This camp is accredited by the American Camp Association®, which requires thorough and rigorous compliance for camp operations, staffing qualifications, and safety standards annually. An onsite observation visit is performed by a team of specially-trained camp professionals every five years.
Camp Crossed Arrows is owned and operated by Girl Scouts Spirit of Nebraska and is available for rent by Girl Scouts and non-Girl Scout groups. Please see Property Rentals for more information about renting Spirit of Nebraska properties.
