It's always the right time to make a difference—and now is the perfect time to do that as a Girl Scout volunteer. Discover how good it feels to help Girl Scouts find their voice.
Just by being yourself, you can be a person that girls can count on—the one who listens intently, who encourages them to chase their goals, who keeps them laughing, and who helps them feel confident in who they are. Together, you’ll build a community where every girl is celebrated and valued.
You don't have to have a child of your own to get involved; all you need is a passion for mentoring the next generation of leaders. Girl Scouts Spirit of Nebraska is ready to get you started!
Here a just a few of the many Girl Scout volunteer roles from which you can choose.
Troop Co-Leader: Work with a group of girls and be a role model and mentor as they make new friends and develop connections that will last a lifetime.
Troop Cookie/Fall Product Manager: Coordinate the annual Cookie or Fall Product Program at the troop level. Set up cookie booths, manage inventory and money, and watch the girls light up as they earn rewards and learn important skills while running their own business.
Troop Treasurer: Coordinate the troop bank account and maintain accurate troop finance records and other designated administrative duties.
Troop Adult Support: Assist with driving, activity planning, snacks, money management, and other tasks necessary to keep the troop running oh-so-smoothly.
Service Unit Volunteer: Mentor other adult volunteers at the Service Unit level as they work with Girl Scouts to create memories they will never forget.
Outreach Volunteer: Work weekly with Community Outreach Troops to be a positive mentor for girls in underserved communities.
