Sometimes, the greatest thing you take away from Girl Scouts is the people you meet.
For Kylee, some of her favorite memories came through the Girl Scout Advisory Group (GSAP), where she helped plan camps, dream up new ideas, and create meaningful experiences for younger Girl Scouts. Each summer at Camp Catron in Nebraska City brought new adventures, new responsibilities, and new opportunities to welcome others into the group.
But what she treasures most are the friendships.
Year after year, the same girls returned to camp. They stayed up late playing games, spent their days tackling activities together, and built friendships that grew stronger with every summer. As girls graduated and new members joined, the group evolved, but the connections they made lasted. By the time Kylee and her friends aged out together in 2024, they had created memories that would stay with them long after camp ended.
"What a joy to have a group of people that you are so excited to see."
That's the power of Girl Scouts. When girls find a place where they belong, they also find friendships that encourage them, challenge them, and stay with them for years to come.
100 years. Countless stories. One lasting legacy.
