For 100 years, Girl Scouts have been turning ideas into action, identifying needs in their communities, and creating change that lasts. Vittoria Quaranta’s story is a beautiful example of that impact.
As a Girl Scout, Vittoria earned her Gold Award, the highest honor a Girl Scout can achieve, by creating Unified Entrepreneurs, a program designed to empower teens and young adults with disabilities to explore entrepreneurship, develop their skills, and create opportunities for themselves.
What started as a Gold Award project has grown into something even bigger. Now entering its third year, Unified Entrepreneurs continues to expand, with more participants, peer mentors, and opportunities for members to connect, learn, and share their talents. This year’s program included a successful holiday market, social experiences like Zoo Lights, philanthropy opportunities, and a growing number of young entrepreneurs — including two additional Girl Scouts who are helping lead the way.
Vittoria’s leadership and commitment to creating sustainable change earned her national recognition through the 2025 Girl Scouts of the USA Gold Award Scholarship, but the true impact of her work can be seen in the lives she continues to inspire.
This is what 100 years of Girl Scouting is all about: young leaders seeing a need, taking action, and leaving the world a better place than they found it.
100 years. Countless stories. One lasting legacy.
