For Kelli, Girl Scouts has always been about the memories and the people who make them special.
She started as a Daisy and continued through her Junior year, filling her childhood with adventures that took her from summer camp to camping on the beach to a horse camp in California. There were horseback rides, cabins, campfires, sing-alongs, and plenty of moments that stayed with her long after childhood ended.
But when Kelli looks back, it’s not just the places she remembers. It’s the people.
Especially her mom.
Her mom was there for it all—camping alongside her, helping with crafts and meetings, and selling cookies together. At the time, Kelli didn't know just how meaningful those moments would become.
Now, as a mom herself, her Girl Scout story has come full circle.
Today, Kelli is a troop co-leader, creating those same kinds of experiences alongside her own daughters. She gets to watch them try new things, build friendships, grow in confidence, laugh together, and make memories of their own.
She hopes that someday, her girls will look back and remember more than the badges they earned or activities they completed. She hopes they'll remember the adventures, the friendships, the laughter—and their mom being right there beside them.
Girl Scouts gave Kelli memories that lasted a lifetime. Now, she gets to give that gift to another generation.
Sometimes, the most meaningful Girl Scout traditions aren't the ones we pass down; they're the ones we get to experience all over again, together.
100 years. Countless stories. One lasting legacy.
