Larcy grew up in the middle of Nebraska and was lucky to experience so much through Girl Scouts. When she graduated high school, she wasn't quite ready to leave it behind. She stayed involved as a volunteer and became a lifetime member.
Years later, Girl Scouts came full circle when her daughter wanted to join a troop.
Larcy volunteered to help with her daughter's troop, getting to share something that had meant so much to her with the next generation.
Then, during one of her volunteer trainings, she got an unexpected reminder of just how lasting those connections can be: the training was led by her former Girl Scout troop leader.
They were able to catch up, share memories and look through old photos together — a beautiful reunion made possible by a shared Girl Scout history.
Because Girl Scouts isn't just something you do growing up. It's a community you can carry with you for a lifetime.
100 years. Countless stories. One lasting legacy.
