For 100 years, Girl Scouts have been saying yes to adventure. Troop 00688 is carrying that tradition forward.
This August, the troop packed up their tents and headed to Colorado for a four-day camping adventure. They made their home at Blow Duck Campground near a mountain stream and spent their days exploring everything the area had to offer.
They visited the Cave of the Winds and Manitou Cliff Dwellings, explored Garden of the Gods, wandered through downtown Manitou Springs, and even took on a haunted ghost tour. There was camping, exploring, shopping, a little bit of spookiness and, most importantly, time spent making memories together.
Because Girl Scout adventures don't always happen in a troop meeting or at a local camp. Sometimes they take you across state lines, into the mountains, and somewhere completely new.
And that's the beauty of a Girl Scout experience: there is always another adventure waiting.
Here’s to Troop 00688 and to the next 100 years of girls saying, “Let’s go.”
100 years. Countless stories. One lasting legacy.
