For Eleanor, setting a big goal starts with one simple idea:
“Selling more cookies than the year before.”
And she has been doing exactly that.
Daisy, 1st grade: 1,000 boxes
Brownie, 2nd grade: 2,200 boxes
Brownie, 3rd grade: 2,139 boxes
Junior, 4th grade: 2,366 boxes
Junior, 5th grade: 2,603 boxes
That last number had a little extra meaning: 26 for 2026 and 03 for March, the month Girl Scout Cookie season ended.
This year, Eleanor passed 10,000 boxes in lifetime sales.
So how does she do it?
“I tried to sell cookies every day after school and especially on the weekends.”
Eleanor knows her cookies, talks confidently with customers, and puts in the work. Her advice to other Girl Scouts who want to set a big goal?
“Work hard, sell every where you can! Set small goals that help you get to the big goal.”
Her Cookie Dough helps pay for Girl Scout camp throughout the year, while her troop is saving their funds for a cruise. And some of her favorite rewards over the years have included an iPad, FitBit watch, and headphones.
But one of Eleanor’s biggest accomplishments might not have anything to do with how many boxes she sells.
After her first year reaching 1,000 boxes and attending 1000 Club Camp, she was so excited about the experience that she wanted to stay in 1000 Club. She told the other girls in her troop about it—and since then, seven girls from her troop have joined her in 1000 Club.
That's what happens when a big goal becomes something you can share.
Keep setting the bar, Eleanor. We can't wait to see where you take it next.
100 years. Countless stories. One lasting legacy.
