Chelsea's Girl Scout journey began in 2000 as a Daisy. From there, she made her way through every level of Girl Scouts, collecting badges, building friendships across Nebraska, and discovering just how much she could accomplish.
Her Bronze, Silver, and Gold Awards each gave her a chance to turn that learning into service.
For her Bronze Award, she built a bench for Bellwood Elementary School.
For her Silver Award, she made blankets for the hematology unit at Columbus Hospital.
For her Gold Award, she created a wishing well for the cancer garden at Eastern Nebraska 4-H Camp in honor of Camp CoHoLo, a Nebraska camp for children affected by cancer.
Each project reflected a different way to care for others and leave something meaningful behind.
But Chelsea's Girl Scout journey didn't end with her awards. Along the way, she discovered a love for leadership that led her to become Camp Director at Camp Catron from 2014 to 2018.
From a Daisy learning and exploring to a camp director helping create experiences for the next generation, Chelsea's story shows how Girl Scouts can grow right alongside you—giving you opportunities to serve, lead, and discover new possibilities at every stage.
Twenty-plus years after that first Daisy experience, her Girl Scout story is still part of her.
100 years. Countless stories. One lasting legacy.
