Employee of the Quarter Spotlight: Phylicia Robertson

We are proud to announce that Phylicia Robertson has been named Girl Scouts Spirit of Nebraska’s Employee of the Quarter!
Phylicia’s warmth, kindness, and genuine spirit brighten every room she walks into. With a pleasant smile and a can-do attitude, she brings positivity to every interaction—whether she’s welcoming a new family, collaborating with coworkers, or lending a helping hand. She’s known for always showing up for others, ready to support her team and her community in any way she can. Her energy, compassion, and creativity shine through in every part of her work.
Phylicia began her journey with Girl Scouts Spirit of Nebraska in 2022 as a Recruitment Specialist. She started in the East Urban area and recently transitioned to the Southeast area. In both regions, she’s made it her mission to connect families with the life-changing opportunities that Girl Scouts offers.
“I love that I get to meet all kinds of families all the time and let them know all the great things Girl Scouts has to offer,” Phylicia shares.
Creating Memorable Moments Through Culture and Connection
One standout moment in Phylicia’s time at Girl Scouts was during Black History Month, when she hosted a program about the significance of quilts and textiles in African American culture.
“It was so cool to share my culture with the girls, but also I got to do it with my mom,” she says. “My mom is an amazing quilter and such a wonderful volunteer. It really warmed my heart to see her share her sparkle with the girls.”
Moments like this reflect the heart of what Phylicia brings to Girl Scouts—community, family, and deep-rooted pride in culture and connection.
Motivation, Teamwork, and a Whole Lot of Heart
When it comes to staying motivated, Phylicia says the key is loving what she does. “I have lots of ideas that keep me going and I’m always trying to meet my goals. I also work with amazing people who uplift me and collaborate well together. That keeps things fun.”
One of her favorite Girl Scout values is “Be a sister to every Girl Scout,” and she incorporates it into her daily work by showing up with kindness, openness, and a willingness to help.
“Even if I’m not great at something, I’ll give it a try if it means I can be helpful to someone else. I really try to make everyone feel included or seen.”
How Girl Scouts Changes Lives
Phylicia believes in the power of Girl Scouts to shape not only individual girls, but entire communities. “Girl Scouts brings so many different opportunities to kids—mentorship, camp, programs, troops, outreach. The versatility helps families across the board, and meeting families where they’re at is a great way to help girls grow.”
Outside of Work
Outside of Girl Scouts, Phylicia loves spending time with her “one amazing human” (her child) and her two rescue pit bulls. She also enjoys going to concerts and traveling to visit family and friends.
