It's time to celebrate! Starting October 30 through November 3, join us for Girl Scout Spirit Week, a time to celebrate the Girl Scout Movement.
Girl Scout Spirit Week is something to celebrate—five straight days to show off your Girl Scout pride, encourage others to join our movement, and lift up all that this worldwide sisterhood has given you, your community, and the world. Below you will find the daily themes and what they mean. Feel free to use ideas from our Girl Scout Spirit Week Activity Calendar, or create your own ideas, at your troop meetings, not only during Spirit Week but all year round!
Monday, October 30: Make New Friends Monday
“Make new friends but keep the old. One is silver, the other gold.” We encourage girls to be a sister to every Girl Scout. As we start a new Girl Scout year, we want to make sure those who want to join Girl Scouts have that opportunity and feel welcome. Invite your non-Girl Scout friends to join you at a troop meeting or share your favorite Girl Scout memories with a new friend.
Tuesday, October 31: Happy Birthday, Juliette Gordon Low! Tuesday
At a troop event, celebrate Juliette Gordon Low’s birthday. Our founder, Juliette, was a true visionary. She took girls of all backgrounds to the outdoors and encouraged them to prepare for possible future roles as professional women–– in arts, sciences, and business––and for active citizenship in their communities. Juliette started a movement that changed the world!
Wednesday, November 1: Girl Scout Vibes Wednesday
Show off your Girl Scout spirit by wearing your Girl Scout uniform or T-shirt to school. Share what the badges, patches, and awards you’ve earned mean to you, and encourage those around you to learn more about Girl Scouting.
Thursday, November 2: Take Action Thursday
Girl Scouts don’t just dream of a better world—they go out and make it happen. From cleaning local parks to building outdoor basketball courts, or donating food items to a food bank, Girl Scouts are on the case. Make a positive impact and help out in your community!
Friday, November 3: Friendship Circle Friday
Friendships begin at Girl Scouts—lifelong, world-changing friendships. Celebrate the spirit of these friendships and pass them forward. Tell your friends why they’re important to you. Share tokens of appreciation by making items like SWAPS or friendship bracelets.
Receive a free Juliette Gordon Low fun patch for the first 100 Girl Scouts who complete the following number of activities between Monday, October 30 – Friday, November 3, 2023.
Don’t forget to complete the form to claim your fun patch.
