It's time to celebrate! Starting Monday, October 28 through Friday, November 1, join us for Girl Scout Spirit Week, a time to celebrate the Girl Scout Movement.
Girl Scout Spirit Week is something to celebrate—five days to show your Girl Scout pride, encourage others to join our movement, and lift up all that this worldwide sisterhood has given you, your community, and the world. Below you will find the daily themes. Feel free to use ideas listed below or create your own ideas, not only during Spirit Week, but all year-round!
Spirit Week Daily Themes
October 28: Outdoor Monday
- Take a short walk in nature.
- Gather five fallen leaves from trees in your neighborhood and identify the tree species.
- Show Mother Nature some love by cleaning up litter in your neighborhood.
October 29: STEM Tuesday
- Count the number of electronic devices in your house. How many do you use daily?
- Design your best paper airplane and see who can soar the furthest!
- Search online for a DIY slime recipe and create your own gooey masterpiece.
October 30: Entrepreneur Wednesday
- Ask a female business owner about her challenges and successes.
- If you were to build your own business, what kind of business would it be? Draft a simple startup business plan.
- Research entrepreneurship in the U.S. Share what you found with your troop, family, or friends.
October 31: JGL Birthday Thursday
- Join another Girl Scout troop to make new friends, then have a birthday party with cake and ice cream to celebrate Girl Scout founder, Juliette Gordon Low’s birthday.
- Gather birthday party supplies, like boxed cake mix and decorations, and donate them to your local food pantry.

November 1: Life Skills Friday
- Research what life skills are. Ask an adult, like a teacher, parent, or grandparent, to discover what life skills they think are essential.
- Empathy is the ability to understand the feelings of other people. Think of a time you put yourself in "someone else’s shoes."
- Begin working on a Girl Scout financial literacy badge.
Ways to Participate
- Show your love for Girl Scouts by wearing your Girl Scout T-shirt.
- Give back to your community or to Girl Scouts.
- Invite friends to get involved.
