What can happen when thousands of people come together for one simple purpose? A whole lot of good.
This September, Girl Scouts Spirit of Nebraska invited our community, and communities across the country, to take part in World Cleanup Day. The response was incredible: 2,602 people pledged to take action and help make the places they call home cleaner.
Pledges came from Girl Scouts Spirit of Nebraska, with Girl Scouts in 15 other states joining us, too. Families, friends, troops, neighbors, coworkers, and community members came together to pick up litter and care for parks, trails, neighborhoods, waterways, and other shared spaces.
For 100 years, Girl Scouts have encouraged girls to take action and make the world a better place. World Cleanup Day was a wonderful reminder that even one small action can become something much bigger when we do it together.
Thank you to everyone who took the pledge, grabbed a bag, rallied your people, and got to work. Together, 2,602 people showed what’s possible when a community decides to make a difference.
